Analyses the limitation of the traditional analogy method to determine the dimension of capillary tubes. Puts forward an equivalence method to transform the dimension between parallel capillary tubes. Taking a 25 kW-refrigerating capacity air conditioner as an example, compares the dimension obtained by the equivalence method with that by the match experiment method. The results show that the difference of the inner diameter and length is separately 3.6% and 5.8%and that it is proved that the equivalence method can be applied to the capillary tube match experiment for an air conditioning unit.
